On the eve of Shannon Noll’s 20th Anniversary re-release of his chart topping debut album, That’s What I’m Talking About and national tour, comes the brand new single, ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay,’ via Red Dog Recordings / Sony Music Australia.
It’s a collaboration with fellow Australia Idol season one star, Cosima De Vito!
While chatting on Shannon’s Idol Talking With Nollsie podcast last year, the Idol legends casually teased the idea of recording a song together.
And thankfully for fans, the duo followed through with the idea and recorded the euphoric anthem, ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay’ for the upcoming anniversary album.
Being released as an official single ahead of the album release on April 5, ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay’ showcases the supreme vocals that made both Nollsie and Cosima so popular on Australian Idol.
“It was so much fun to record this song with Cosima, twenty years after we were on Idol together,” says Shannon Noll.
“Everyone is reminded that she has such an amazing voice,” he continues.
“I’m super proud of how it came up and I can’t wait to see what the fans think!”
Cosima is equally enthused about the release.
“When the opportunity came up to sing with Shannon, I was 100% on board,” she says.
“It feels like no time has passed at all. I love the track and the way our voices sound together.”
